Implants

Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth.

Implants involve the placement of a titanium screw into the bone of the jaw. Once integrated with your bone, the implant is used to support a crown or a bridge.

Implants are strong, durable and, after restoration, have a very natural appearance.

There are two stages to complete the implant procedure.

• The first stage involves the surgical placement of the titanium screw into your jawbone. Once the implant is inserted into place, the healing phase begins and may take about 4 months to ensure a strong base.
• The final stage consists of placing a new tooth crown onto the implant.

Here at Moycullen Dental Practice, we will refer you to a specialist for the surgical stage of the implant. Then we will place the crown on your implant.
