Root canal treatment

Root Canal Treatment is the process of removing the pulp (nerve tissue) of a tooth when it has become damaged or infected.

Endodontic therapy usually becomes necessary when a tooth has either been traumatized by injury or when decay has damaged a tooth so badly that it has reached the pulp chamber and infected the tissue.

During a root canal procedure a hole is made in the top of your tooth to access the nerve tissue and remove it.
